In the last week, three shows in Belfast have caught our attention. Two in the Waterfront Hall and one in the Odyssey Arena.
First off its local boy, Patrick Kielty. Patrick is Dundrum`s greatest comedy export, and if you missed last November’s run at the Grand Opera House, or his Odyssey show in April, you’ll be pleased to know he’s coming back to the city again and will be doing what he does best, comedy!
He will be in the Waterfront on 23rd June and tickets are a snip at £24!
Next up its another local boy…..well he did live in Bangor as a child! It’s none other than Eddie Izzard! In 2013, Eddie plans to take on the world with a brand-new comedy tour, FORCE MAJEURE, and that’s exactly what he is, a force majeure (a superior force).
Following on from his mammoth marathon run in NI a few years ago, Eddie will embark on the most extensive comedy tour ever with Force Majeure. It begins its mammoth journey around the globe during spring 2013. From Cardiff to Kathmandu, Moscow to Mumbai, Eddie will visit 25 countries throughout Europe, USA, Africa, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal and The Far East. And he’ll return home to NI on 25th May 2013 at the Odyssey Arena.
Lastly it’s a first timer coming to Belfast. It’s only the oh so cool Norah Jones. It’s this concert we are most excited about, so hopefully when tickets are released this Friday, we’ll be at the Waterfront getting ours.
Norah has just released her superb new album Little Broken Hearts which she recorded with producer and musician DangerMouse. The album is a bit of a change of direction for Norah, and we’re looking forward to hearing it performed at the Waterfront Hall on 6th September. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
