Panto season is almost over at the Grand Opera House and all eyes are on what’s next.
As you know we had a night backstage at the Panto here, and hopefully the opportunity will come again for another backstage tweetathon soon, but in the meantime, the tickets are in and we’re getting all ready for some culture and some tunes.
First is an enchanted dolls’ house, an evil governess, and a nutcracker who may just be a handsome prince in disguise, and that can only be The Nutcracker by the Scottish Ballet.
This fresh and vivid retelling of the famous Christmas story is promised to feature stunning sets and costumes, breathtaking choreography and Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score performed live by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.

After that we’ll be at The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas. Celebrating the incredible singing talent of three world-famous entertainers and performers and some of the finest music and song that has ever been recorded.
Picture the scene, you’re back in the late 50’s in a glamorous and glitzy Las Vegas, with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Junior and Dean Martin performing the classics, The Lady is a Tramp, Mr Bojangles, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, That’s Amore,, New York, New York, Fly Me to the Moon, My Way and many more.
A 15 piece orchestra, a cast of hugely talented performers and countless hits are sure to make a trip to see The Rat Pack a night out that you won’t forget!
They will be in the Grand Opera House from Monday 4th until Saturday 9 February.
