Event: The MaxMara Weekend Collection
Location: The Ulster Museum
When: Thursday 11th October
Now that’s what I call a fashion show, one of the most stylish fashion shows I’ve been to in Belfast, and that was before we even got to see the MaxMara Collection. It was cool, calm and super slick, with all white walls, tiled floors and cute little cherry blossom trees. The Ulster Museum was just perfect for this viewing of the Maxmara Weekend AW collection.
Maxmara was created in 1951 by Achille Maramotti with a desire to produce high quality manufactured women’s clothing. In the 1950’s this was a very avant-garde idea, as fashion was still an exclusively hand crafted activity. Clearly the idea caught on, as here we are 60 plus years later with Maxmara still held with high regard as a fashion house with high quality clothing.
I notice through a quick internet search that a Maxmara member of staff should be able to name 20 of their customers, just to have that personal touch. If this is true, I love it, a big brand with the personal touch.
Huge thanks to CMPR and Nina Walls and her team for the invite to the super slick and stylish Maxmara night at the Museum.
