Devised by a medical student from Belfast, William Hayhurst, Sideline Concussion is a campaign which aims to raise awareness among young athletes of the signs of concussion and the importance of recognizing concussion on and off the playing field.

Sideline Concussion has gained support by sporting and medical figures in Northern Ireland and further afield in Great Britain including Headway – the brain injury association, leading Belfast based Paediatric Neurologist Dr Deirdre Peake, former Ireland and British Lion rugby star Dr David Irwin, the Belfast Giants Hockey Team, and school clubs and teams across the country.
Speaking on behalf of Paradox Omega Oils developer Geoff Hayhurst commented, “We are proud to support the Sideline Concussion campaign which is diligently working at the grassroots level to raise awareness of concussion among young athletes. Concussion is an injury that must be dealt with proactively in order to ensure proper recovery and prevent further injury which could have a lasting impact on a young person.”

As part of their support for the campaign, which has included the printing and distribution of posters and flyers to schools and sporting organisations across Northern Ireland, Paradox has also included the Sideline Concussion logo on special edition boxes of their Omega Sport supplement which are also being issued to raise awareness of Sideline.
Paradox Omega Sport is formulated to provide premium nutritional solutions for those participating in sport and regular exercise programmes and has been endorsed by Ireland and Ulster rugby star Rory Best, who relied on the supplement to aid recovery from a neck injury.

Developed by local company Paradox Omega Oils Ltd, Paradox Omega Sport capsules is an exciting and innovative new product that takes nutritional supplements to the highest level. Made from an exclusive blend of essential fatty acids (EFAs), omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9 (fats found in marine and plant oils) and natural vitamins D and E, Paradox Omega Sport is also rich in natural polyphenol antioxidants only found in olives.
