Welcome to Belfast, Northern Ireland

Belfast and the rest of Northern Ireland is famous for a lot of reasons, some good and some not so good, but most notably for being the birthplace of the Titanic. Arguably the worlds most famous cruise liner of which we all know it’s fate.
The ship sank almost 100 years ago but remains a big part of Belfast’s recent history.
Built at Harland & Wolff in the citys docks, the Titanic sank off the US coastline on 15 April 1912.
The Belfast Times will take you on a journey through the city’s past and present, with plenty of news and recommendations on what to do. I hope you enjoy this journey with me though the city and beyond.
