Belfast City Deputy Lord Mayor, Alderman Christopher Stalford today showed his support for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland and is inviting people to back the spectacular Valentine’s Day Ball arranged for Friday 14th February in the Great Hall at Belfast City Hall.
Diabetes UK Northern Ireland Fundraising Manager, Naomi Brown, said:
“We are asking people to support Diabetes UK Northern Ireland this Valentine’s Day by making a date with us at Belfast City Hall on Friday 14th February for a black tie ball. Tickets are now available so don’t be left heartbroken – get your tickets booked early as we are expecting a great night with fantastic entertainment and fun throughout the night.”
The Deputy Lord Mayor said,
“I am delighted to be supporting the work of Diabetes UK in Northern Ireland and Belfast City Hall will provide the perfect backdrop to celebrate their upcoming Valentine’s Day Ball.
As one of my chosen charities, I have learned about the impact of living with diabetes and have been shocked by the growing numbers of those diagnosed with diabetes in Northern Ireland. Diabetes UK has been at the forefront of raising awareness and importantly, funding for vital research into a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
I hope that people will support what will be a fantastic night at the Valentine’s Day Ball, celebrating not only the work of Diabetes UK in Northern Ireland but also the many advances in making living with the condition much more manageable.”
