The St George’s Summer Twilight market brought a taste of the continent to Belfast last night with an evening market packed full of local businesses. There was a lot to enjoy, from craft beer to artisan food, local makers and artists, and a superb mixture of the faces you already know from the weekend market with a sizeable number of local restaurants and food producers.
On the first night we thankfully didn’t see the queues of last year and visitors were able to browse at their leisure without being forced around in a crowd of people once inside. It was a much more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere as customers enjoyed a selection of alcohol from the bars and a great mix of food from local producers restaurants and regular St George’s traders.
Twilight opens again at 12 noon today through to 11pm. Why not call in on your lunch break, or bring the kids along for some family fun activities later in the afternoon, then after work you could pop in for dinner.
Of course, the Belfast Times stall will be there with our usual colourful take on Norn Iron with a few special offers just for twilight.
We’ll see you later.
