In a unique move within the industry, Tayto Group has today (1 April 2016) become the first crisp and snack manufacturer to launch a unique fragrance based on its iconic Cheese and Onion flavour crisps.
Initially, Tayt’eau de Cologne will only be available in ‘Le Fromage et L’Oignon’ but plans are already well advanced to add ‘Cocktail de crevettes’, ‘Sel et Vinaigre’ and ‘Poulet Rôti’ to what it hopes will become the scent range of choice for the Northern Ireland man.
Elly Hunter, Marketing Director for Tayto Group, said: “With 2016 being our 60th birthday, it made ‘scents’ to starting thinking about diversifying and looking at other ways in which the Tayto crisp loving public could enjoy the unique experience of our iconic Cheese and Onion flavour.
“We already tick the taste sensation box, so why not the smell sensation one as well? We recently carried out a survey of the more mature man and the message coming back loud and clear was that they were feeling a little cheesed off. When we peeled back the layers, we found that when it came to the crunch, they were looking for something to put a spring back in their step without costing a packet.
“The result is Tayt’eau Le Fromage et L’Oignon – a very special classic, ‘crisp’ fragrance for men with the aromatic top notes of finest cheddar and base notes of earthy, mature onion that will leave the wearer completely irresistible.”
