The Outcasts come to @Voodoo_Belfast !!

The renowned bad boys of the Ulster punk scene are teaming up with English punk legends Goldblade, and Dublin’s Paranoid Visions to perform two epic gigs, playing in Belfast on the 31st January and in Dublin on the 1st February.

The Outcasts have seen major success over the years having built a loyal fan base. They were formed in June 1977 by the Cowan brothers: Greg (bass/vocals), Colin (drums) and Martin (guitar). They were joined by Colin Getgood (better known as Getty) on guitar and Raymond Falls later became the band’s second drummer. They earned themselves support slots to various punk luminaries including The Clash at the Ulster Hall and have also recorded music sessions for the legendary John Peel on BBC Radio1.

The Outcasts shot to fame when they joined forces with Terri Hooley and his seminal Good Vibrations record label, releasing a string of acclaimed tracks including Just Another Teenage Rebel and The Cops Are Comin’. After the unrivalled success and recent BAFTA nomination of the Good Vibrations film, The Outcasts have been catapulted back into the spotlight and with this have performed at various punk festivals throughout Europe.

Speaking about their return to the punk music scene, front man Greg Cowan said:

“After reforming in 2012 we have had an incredible few years performing all over Europe at different punk festivals. We absolutely love putting together a show and are so excited to gig at The Vodoo Room in Belfast and Fibber Magees in Dublin. These are both superb venues and it’s amazing that having started out in 1977, we didn’t expect to still be playing a year later let alone be performing in venues across Ireland in 2014. We thank all our fans for making this dream a reality.”

The highly anticipated gigs will take place at The Vodoo Room in Belfast on the 31st January and the legendary Fibber Magees in Dublin on the 1st February.

Tickets for the gigs are priced at £10 and can be purchased on the door at the venue. For further information about The Outcasts please visit their Facebook page: facebook.com/officialoutcasts
