The ladies of St Georges Market

This morning as promised on my Facebook and twitter accounts I headed into St Georges Market at 8am. I met some of the ladies of the Market and for some reason three of them were Paulas!
Let me introduce them, in the top photo is Paula Gibson of Sew Personal with an impressive selection of soft furnishings which she designs and creates herself.
Next is Ruth Wilson and Rej crafts (in the process of changing to ‘Bags and Buntings’), with the cutest and almost Cath Kidston 50’s looking buntings and cards. All again homemade by Ruth.
In the third image is the stunning cupcake selection from ‘The Cakery’ and the second Paula, Paula Hinchcliffe. It takes a huge amount of dedication to be up baking into the wee small hours then making your way to St Georges for 4am. You just have to try these amazing creations!
My third Paula (from Love Olive just ran when I asked if I could take her photo. A few reacted like that mind you, hey, I’m not that scary!
Also below is a photo of the jewellery on Cathy McLaverty’s stand. It’s a popular stand with a great selection of ever changing products. And then last but not least was Becky working on the French Village Bakery stand. All that fresh baked bread just looked so tempting, especially when I’m on a low carbs day.
St Georges Market is an inspiring weekly event in the city, it’s full of entrepreneurs, and especially women making use of their seemingly endless creativity. I love seeing people out there chasing their dreams and trying to achieve that sense of personal satisfaction and achievement. Keep it up ladies. Maybe next time I’ll be on the hunt for the entrepreneurial guys in St Georges, but can they compete?
