West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK continued its fashionable round of events on its third day in the opulent surroundings of The Merchant Hotel as guest’s enjoyed an afternoon of designer fashion at the CRUISE Fashion Tea!
Once again guests in attendance embraced the Autumn Winter ’13 trends and wore them with style!
Tartan again made an appearance with Caryn Murphy opting for a green tartan dress, contrasting it with burgundy tights to really make the green pop! While Rebecca McCormick took a girly tartan dress and toughened it up with a leather eyelet belt, accessorising the look with sparkly ankle socks and leopard sandals! A real fashion look that she pulls off perfectly!
I’m a total sucker for designer accessories and I was immediately drawn to Diane Buckley’s fabulous Louis Vuitton scarf! Its leopard print design by Stephen Sprouse taking her black ensemble and giving it a welcome injection of colour through Sprouse’s iconic print!
Vivienne Westwood is a label carried by style emporium CRUISE and continues to be a popular label amongst Northern Irish fashionistas! Margot McClay looked absolutely stunning in her Vivienne Westwood “Anglomania” Rubens print dress, bringing out it’s colours with a gorgeous ruched sleeve tan jacket! J’adore!!
Jackets are a great way of updating a look, and again winter pink proved to be a favourite colour in outerwear! Sazemina Alzhas rocked a pink tux and added a touch of lace in her tights, while a statement necklace finished off her look perfectly! Annika Anaguamo took this season’s hottest jacket, the leather biker and gave it a cool edgy feel with a fun hat, scarf and patterned tights, tying in the colour of her scarf with her shoes! This outfit is all about the accessories!
Lace also proved popular, and Lauren O’Kane opted for a real statement look! Wearing an über chic lace blouse and pairing it with gold lamé shorts!! A fabulous look all round and probably one of my favourite looks from the day!
Draping, in the form of cowl necks is always a style winner and I loved the vibrancy of this green dress worn by Zoe Parks! An effortlessly chic silhouette, the colour is stunning on her and I just love her gold snakeskin shoes! (Remember it’s all about accessories!)
Last but certainly not least was Sarah Williams, who worked the oversized trend to perfection! A trend that can be hard to get right, the proportions of her grey tunic dress worked perfectly with her body shape and I loved the pop of colour in her pink bobble ball statement necklace!
A very stylish event attended by some very stylish ladies, it proved to be a hugely enjoyable afternoon for all involved, but with the Local Designer Catwalk Show that evening there was still plenty of looks to “Style Watch”! So keep a fashionable eye on Belfast Times for plenty more “Style Watch” from FASHIONWEEK!
