Style Watch hits the Super Stylish Appletiser StyleFIX at The Ivory Restaurant!
Fashionista’s turned out in force at the final Appletiser StyleFIX of 2013 in the modern and stylish surroundings of The Ivory Restaurant in House of Fraser, Victoria Square embracing the current seasons trends in force!
Tartan, which has been proving to be a big hit amongst the style conscious this season was the trend of choice for Cathy Martin, who opted for a simple tartan silhouette, in autumnal hues of navy, blue and red!
Monochrome is never far away, however this season the look is updated in the form of dressed up jumpsuits, tuxedo jackets, or super sexy leather! I loved Brenda Shankey’s ruffled jumpsuit and fellow blogger Laurina Kennedy’s body con leather dress worn over a simple white shirt!
Top of the style stakes for me was model Carys Magill! Biba was her label of choice and I loved her whole ensemble! The feminine feel of her floaty snakeprint dress contrasted with the toughness of that stunning leather and fur fringed style coat was total fashion perfection!
I myself own a pair of snakeskin print jeans from Cruise & I simply adored the metallic gold snakeskin print jeans Kellyanne McKendry was wearing from Biba! Paired with black and gold accessories along with a super chic trilby hat by Gráinne Maher, it was an ensemble full of fashion attitude!
The perfect winter coat is a necessity for our cold winter’s and winter pink is the colour everyone is coveting! Nicola Bothwell’s had a lovely relaxed feel to it, while Lucy Ellen’s structured boucle version was just perfect on her, accessorised with THE perfect statement bag……a Birkin!
One of my favourite colours is purple and I loved the vibrant pop of colour in Upama Rai’s purple blouse, which worked so perfectly with the flecks of gold & autumnal tones in her jacket! (Also seriously loving her Channel 2:55 bag!). While Model Jayne Higgins looked stunning in a simple purple silk blouse, accessorised with THE most amazing feather cape and peacock jeans, all from House of Fraser, showing that a feather cape can work just as well with casual attire as it does with evening wear!
Victoria Square stylist Rebecca McKinney always looks a million dollars, and is a major fan of vibrant print’s! She showed us all how to work the trend perfectly from head to toe in warming harvest hues, accessorising the look with a Mi Moneda pendant and luxe satin shoes!
Carrying on the trend for prints was blogger Rosanna Smyth who teamed her leopard print vest top with a canary yellow statement bag and super cool cowboy style boots, a casual yet stylish look!
Last but by no means least is current Miss Northern Ireland Meagan Green! There’s a reason why the LBD remains a firm favourite in every woman’s wardrobe, but this season it’s all about the LBJ: “little black jumpsuit”!! This version from Warehouse was simply styled with a statement jewelled necklace and was total perfection on Meagan!
A great night of style and fashion, both on and off the catwalk, it’s always so lovely to see my fellow fashionista’s looking so stylish as the cold weather sets in!
