Style Watch at the Exclusive Launch of new Restaurant and Bar, The Malt Room!

Friday night saw the beautiful people come out to play as The Malt Room Bar & Restaurant held an exclusive launch event to give foodies a taster of what the new restaurant has to offer! The brainchild of businessman Lord Rana and top Northern Ireland chef Raymond McArdle, the evening was a huge success and I was there to check out what fabulous looks guests had chosen to wear for this highly anticipated launch!

A girl can never go wrong with a leather jacket, and Fiona Donaghey and Nicola Armstrong softened the look by pairing their fab leather jackets with silk and satin, creating a feminine, yet edgy look!

Monochrome as always proved to be a popular choice. Ellen Braithwaite’s look was young, flirty and super cute, showing off her perfect pins and I loved her simple metallic silver clutch! While model and former Miss Ireland Rebecca Maguire kept her look super sleek and polished, accessorising her monochrome shirt with her fabulous new Mulberry clutch wallet in pink glossy goat leather finish! Gotta love a designer bag for creating maximum impact in an ensemble!

Clashing prints in monochrome looked amazing on Nicola Bull while textile designer Jude Cassidy, wore THE most striking geometric striped skater dress, finished off perfectly with a pop of colour from her red suede shoes! I spotted her from across the room and she was definitely my best dressed of the night!

Lace is a popular choice when it comes to winter party season looks, and I loved the crossover obi style waist detailing on Mel Tierney’s lace dress, a very chic choice! Niamh Carvil worked the winter floral trend in a simple floral shift dress, bringing out the colours of the floral pattern through her careful choice of accessories!

I love my body con dresses and I fell hard for Laura Rice’s geometric print dress! With it’s delicate ruching around the waist and perfect pattern placement this dress gives the perfect “Jessica Rabbit” figure! Major #DressEnvy!!

Cathy Martin has been fully embracing her winter pinks this season, and I simply adored her fab sequined Topshop Unique skirt paired with an ultra feminine silk blouse. Perfectly co-ordinated, I can understand why Cathy has been loving this trend so much as she looks stunning in winter pink!

Last but by no means least, I just had to give “Team BT” otherwise known as the Belfast Times Trio of Jeff Meredith, Keith Mitchell and myself a mention!! Jeff and Keith always hit the right style notes, but it’s their attention to detail that I always love! From Keith picking up the red in his tartan bow tie and “Movember” tartan pin in his red coloured laces, to Jeff carrying through the burnished gold stripe in his tweed jacket through to his trousers and shoe laces, they both looked fantastic! As for myself, I was once again wearing my favourite label, Karen Millen! I loved the super luxe feel of their purple silk and velvet draped mini dress and paired it with my current style crush, their snakeskin studded tote! Accessories wise, I opted for my rose gold “Innerpower” pendant and snakeskin peep toe platform sandal’s from Dune!

A night of delectable cuisine and fashionably dressed guests, something tells me that The Malt Room will see many more well dressed gents and ladies through their doors over the coming months, myself included!
