#StyleWatch Day 1 West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK by Louise Vance

It’s that time of year, when fashion lovers and stylista’s came together to check out the latest SS’16,trends at the 21st season of West Coast Cooler Belfast FASHIONWEEK, and Style Watch was there to capture all the buzz and my top looks as worn by FASHIONWEEK’s über cool audience members!

Day One saw Local Designers and Independent Boutiques storm the catwalk, but guests equally dressed to impress, from funky prints to chic and tailored minimalist looks, it was a night of cool and edgy looks.

From her amazing silver hair to her edgy oversized faux fur jacket, pleated cropped trousers and lace up snakeskin shoes, Ashlee Coburn was the epitome of cool. Turning heads all evening and proving you can still look cool whilst staying warm.

Prints were massive, from playful florals to animal prints, the audience was awash with bright and colourful prints!

Fellow blogger Donna McCabe once again made my Style Watch list in a beautiful floral print maxi dress direct from the Nor Lisa SS16 collection! It’s bright cobalt blue perfectly contrasting against the summery yellows and reds of it’s floral print, Donna definitely stood out from the crowd.

Claire Scullion combined a tropical aqua print with striking leopard in her pretty and feminine blouse, which was perfectly juxtaposed against edgy leather skinnies, creating a polished look.

FASHIONWEEK TV presenter Katie Larmour always sets the style bar high at FASHIONWEEK, and this season was no different! I loved the intricate lace panels and pleats of her chic and stylish dress, paired with a classic Chanel double flap quilted handbag, in caviar leather and gold hardware and finished off a perfectly with her Louboutin “So Kate” shoes in this season’s must have colour, “flamingo”!

Following on from the lace trend was Nicole Hollinger’s fabulous red dress, designed by one of Northern Ireland’s hottest designers, Chlöe Dougan. (She is definitely one to watch!) I loved it’s elegant and delicate design and best of all it’s currently available to hire from Lotus Boutique, Holywood.

Spoilt Belle Boutique owner Rachel Shivers has a natural flair for fashion and this was clearly evident in her edgy ensemble. Opting for chic yet edgy navy culottes paired with a simple vest top and statement necklace, creating a perfectly pulled together look!

Last but by no means least is FASHIONWEEK co-host Rebecca McKinney. Rebecca’s signature style is always super polished and super glam, and she totally rocked this camel colour split back cape dress from Lavish Alice paired with simple black accessories to create a super chic look!
