Style Watch: Top 10 looks from West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK SS16 launch

Blogger Louise Vance returns to Belfast Times with her first Style Watch of the year.

My Top 10 looks from West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK SS16 Press Launch
Fashionistas were out in force at the super stylish press launch of Belfast FASHIONWEEK and as always I was there scoping out all the latest trends both on and off the catwalk.

It may still be cold but that didn’t stop guests from embracing the top trends of the season.

Spring florals are always such a style staple for Spring/Summer and I especially loved Katie Larmour’s take on the trend. A regular here on Style Watch, her feminine and elegant dress was so chic and I loved how she picked up the red hues of the berry print in her shoes too!

Designer Lisa McCabe also rocked florals, her shoes and bag co-ordinating with her dress, creating a bold and pretty look which really stood out from the crowd.

I’m a girl who loves her sequins and I simply adored the off shoulder sequin dress that former Miss Northern Ireland Joanne Salley was wearing. Working two of this season’s top trends, (sequins and off the shoulder) her dress was pure perfection.

Of course I do love it when I see someone rocking brights, and who couldn’t love Rebecca Henderson’s striking red dress. Ladylike chic at it’s best, the dress boasted both ruffles and pleats, key for this season.

Jess Lynas showed us how to work the colour blocking trend, pops of vibrant yellow contrasting with her blue pleated skirt was a subtle nod to colour blocking and I loved the tiny hint of leopard print in her belt. Fabulous.

Who doesn’t love classic looks and Zoë McComb totally rocked her chic black trouser suit. Perfectly tailored, I loved how she paired it with beige separates updating it’s classic feel with a gorgeous cropped top.

Grey also proved to be a favourite and amongst guests and who wouldn’t love Toni Crowe’s super stylish and edgy look. Showing us all how to update the look with a sleeveless coat, gorgeous lace up, peep toe shoe boots and a hint of denim thrown in for good measure.

Model Ruta Mineikyte showed us all how to take a simple grey look and elevate it to a whole other level with her to die for over the knee boots and striking fur jacket. Just gorgeous!

Last but by no means least we have Summer whites, Jane Hodgers looked stunning in her all white ensembele, I loved the metallic sheen to her blouse, her metallic waist belt and best of all her pedicure matched the red soles of her Louboutins.

FASHIONWEEK co-host Rebecca McKinney is always a fashion force to be reckoned with and she was definitely my best dressed of the day with her super chic white cape and monochrome checked dress! The look was kept edgy with skyscraper over the knee heels which screamed Style Queen.

So there you have it, my top 10 looks from the FASHIONWEEK launch, These ladies have set the style bar high and I for one can’t wait to see what trends they will be rocking at the shows in March. See you all there!
