Saturday 1st September saw Style September kick off in Victoria Square. The month long programme of events will help the fashionista in us all to kick start the autumn/winter season in style.
It all started with 2 fashion shows on Saturday afternoon and we popped along for the 2pm show. It reminded us of the daily shows on at the Fashion Mall in Las Vegas, complete with the glass box changing area and catwalk. The only difference is that Fashion Mall has a catwalk which raises up out of the ground for every show. No such luxury for Victoria Square, but the end result was the same, it attracted the crowds and it created a great buzz on a Saturday afternoon.
The fashion shows will be held every Saturday in September, so make sure you pop over to Victoria Square and join in with the fun and fashion.
Other events this month include this weeks Vogue Fashion Night Out in The Ivory restaurant on Thursday 6th September. Its free and its VIP.
Victoria Square’s personal stylist, Rebecca McKinney will take up residence in a personal styling pod in the middle of the mall, where she will coordinate the month’s events and conduct styling sessions.
The centre will also host a Speed Style Sunday, which will give you the chance to get free, helpful style and beauty advice from members of Victoria Square’s Glam Squad.
The programme will wrap up with a fantastic finale fashion show at the gothic Elmwood Hall, Queen’s University on Thursday 27th September. This exclusive catwalk extravaganza will showcase autumn/winter glamour to Northern Ireland fashion fans.
