St George’s craft market

20130204-135350.jpgWith St Valentine’s Day approaching, and many couples possibly thinking about ‘tying the knot’, there is no better time to spread a little romance and visit the craft and food stalls at St George’s Market for that extra special gift.

The home to the largest weekly indoor craft market in Northern Ireland, St George’s hosts a wide range of artisan craftspeople who offer a wide range of products to add that little touch of “something special” to either St Valentine’s or the ‘big day’ itself.

From bespoke handmade cards to one-off works of art, hand-crafted jewellery to delicious homemade baked goods, you can be guaranteed that the ‘gift of love’ that you buy at St George’s Market cannot be obtained anywhere else.

Unlike the big supermarkets and chain stores, the majority of the stallholders are sole traders, and are more than happy to discuss individual needs with customers – whether you’re looking for that unique Valentine’s Day card or a wedding invitation with that extra special personal touch, a specially-commissioned portrait of the one you love – or those wedding favours and table decorations which will make your reception just a bit different from the norm, the choice is as varied as you want to make it.

For those looking to make that meal “to die for” for their other half on February 14th, the Market’s food traders are only too pleased to discuss recipe ideas and offer advice on ingredients.

St George’s Market is open on Friday (6am – 2pm), Saturday (9am – 3pm) and Sunday (10am – 4pm).
