I popped over to the Mac last week to see the new Shipsides and Beggs Projects exhibition at The Mac.
In the Sunken Gallery, this new exhibition by Dan Shipsides and Neal Beggs is called Still Not Out of the Woods, and it definitely engaged me for a change. The artwork is a multi-sensory experience, from the projections on the large 5 pointed star, to the guitar-like piece of art spanning the room inviting you to create your own sounds. I could’ve spent more time in the Sunken Gallery just taking in all the sights and sounds….but as always I was all rush rush rush.
If you are in the area, be sure to pop in to see the exhibition. It’s open to the public until 19 August and is free admission. During the run of the exhibition, there will be a talk by the artist Dan Shipsides on Thursday 26 July at 6pm.
As well as the Sunken Gallery exhibition, you will have the opportunity to see the first batch of Belfast’s Cow Parade in the shape of the Mini Moos.
