One of the truly great opera experiences, ‘Tosca’ features all the classic operatic ingredients – passion, intrigue, revenge, a beautiful diva and fabulous music in a thrilling and heartwrenching tale of passionate love, jealousy, murder and suicide, featuring Martina Serafin as the tragic Tosca and Aleksandrs Antonenko as her lover Cavaradossi, with Scott Hendricks as the evil Baron Scarpia who plots their destruction.

Starting at 7.30pm, the broadcast will be hosted by popular broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh. There will be no tickets for the event, with admission to the City Hall grounds on a first-come-first-served basis. Standard Belfast City Hall terms and conditions, including no glassware, will apply. The performance is expected to end at around 10.30pm.
