Floating, funky and feminine silhouettes were in full force last week, proving a playful hit at the Chelsea, Lisburn Road, as Nor Lisa creator Lisa McCabe debuted a collection of lively and contemporary designs, letting Belfast know Nor Lisa is back in full bloom! More urban and more print-packed than ever before, returning for SS14 with an intimate designer showcase complete with a sophisticated, street-chic edge to back it up.
Mixing confident and stylish dresses alongside eloquent cocktail attire, youthful cropped boxy tops and high waisted full length skirts created a cool and contemporary form for the young designer’s latest Spring/Summer line. Adding in the odd piece of high-end provocateur closing the show with two transparent lace gowns, both in jet black shades and both equally seductively mesmerising.
Monochrome. Print. Metallic. Blues. These are the main words local designer Nor Lisa used to describe her overall vibe for her latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Back with a vibrant bang, Nor Lisa continued her use of cobalt blue as her injection of energetic colour, giving it a slight revamp this season with a hint of metallic across the 12 piece collection.
Weaving abstract patterns and prints in full monochrome flow throughout, Nor Lisa provided the perfect mix of quirky, street-chic designs alongside an array of majestic, high-end dresses and gowns. The Spring/Summer season for all things fashion in Belfast has well and truly begun.
