#MondayMindfulness :Be the change you want to see

How do we make sense of this cruel world?

We had Manchester, now London, we have shootings and stabbings in Northern Ireland, we have international corruption and wars, the list goes on.

Daily we have bullies and theft, backstabbing and untruthful gossips, we have the unexpected and the unexplainable and regularly we are stunned that such events can happen to us personally and throughout the world.

The harsh truth is, this is life!

Equally we have beautiful people, kindness, selfless people helping others, carers, heros, our voluntary services our community services and the list goes on.

So in truth the battle of good and evil proceeds daily and will continue to do so as long as humans are alive.

We have however a choice to change our part in this life, our relationship with people, communities, and our immediate peers to begin with.

In leading by example and looking after our own patch can we make massive differences and indeed create ripple effects in our home turf.

We’ve also got to stand true to ourselves and know what we do to add to the world.

Through human acts of kindness, love and giving of ourselves, we can be a hero in our own environment and look after our immediate family and friends first then our passion for however we would like to offer help to others will naturally shine.

We may never have an understanding for terrorism, vandalism, evil people and world disasters but we can have an  understanding that we can make a difference in our own lives and the lives of the people we meet and influence.

We can encourage and influence our youth that the next generations can change the future by working on the present and show our young the gifts of compassion, kindness and unconditional love.

Be the change you want to see. Be an influencer, a role model and a hero to those whom you see and know. Make changes and don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd to achieve your goals.

In a world full of evil, be love.

In a world full of sadness, be light.

In a world full of pain, be joy.

If you, yes you, can change one persons life today for the better, then you have been an influencer of hope, joy and love in this unexplainable world!

That’s how you add to and make your part of the journey worth living.

Love and show love because we know life is unpredictable and we cannot guarantee tomorrow.

The beauty of mindfulness is learning to accept life as it is and totally enjoying this very moment.

So for Monday mindfulness today the message is be the change you want to see in the world, you can make a massive difference!
