A special treat this year for EHOD visitors to MacNeice House in south Belfast as the Arts Council mark the 50th anniversary of one of Northern Ireland’s greatest poets, Louis MacNeice, with free readings by our leading modern-day poets.

On Saturday 14th September, throughout the day there will be performances from Northern Ireland’s freshly rising stars of contemporary poetry, and on Sunday 15th September between 3pm – 4pm, come celebrate Louis MacNeice and his modern contemporaries with readings by renowned poets Michael Longley, Sinéad Morrissey, Ciaran Carson and Leontia Flynn. Light refreshments will be provided.

Visitors can also take a tour of this impressive Victorian building once home to renowned poet, Louis MacNeice and view a selection of the Arts Council’s art collection. Visit www.artscouncil-ni.org for details.
