The novel ‘A Night With James Nesbitt’ event, which will take place in the sumptuous surroundings of The Merchant’s Great Room Restaurant on Wednesday 1st May, will provide a select 65 guests with a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about Nesbitt’s rise to stardom.
In a style similar to Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, BBC broadcaster and long-time friend, Mark Carruthers will put Nesbitt in the hot seat, probing him on events from his childhood and memories of Northern Ireland, right through to tales of life in the bright lights of Hollywood.
The Hobbit actor, who is also Chancellor of the University of Ulster promises to deliver a unique night that guests will never forget:
“The Merchant Hotel holds a special place in my heart and has been a regular home from home when I’m back in Northern Ireland. In particular, The Great Room Restaurant, with its sensational food served against such a stunning backdrop, is one of my favourite places in the city.
“Mark and I go back a long time – in theatrical terms, I suppose you could say he was the Oliver to my Artful Dodger 35 years ago – so it will no doubt be an interesting interview. I’m looking forward to returning to The Merchant for what promises to be a very memorable night.”
Tickets for the event cost £69.50 per person and include a champagne reception, six course dinner and after dinner cognac.
Those that book early will be in with a chance to enjoy James Nesbitt’s company at their table on the night; he will join three separate private tables for a course each.
