The Hastings Hotel chain has three hotels right on the Giro route and to celebrate this, they have launched their special edition afternoon tea from 6-11 May, 2-5pm only.
We were invited along to exclusively preview it on Bank Holiday Monday and what a treat!
With all things pink, from salmon or ham sandwiches and a bit of beetroot, to cherry scones with strawberry jam and pink biscotti dipped in white chocolate, then strawberry and raspberry flavoured desserts topped off with an Italian flag panacotta and a glass of prosecco, it was all very much a pink Italian tower of deliciousness.
There were pink touches everywhere, from the special edition pink ties worn by the whole Culloden team, to the pink flowers planted outside, and right on cue, cherry blossoms in the estate grounds. The Culloden, although not one of the hotels on the route, was certainly embracing Giro.
The Hastings hotels on the Giro route are Stormont Hotel, Europa Hotel and the newly refurbished Ballygally Castle (it’s a stunning makeover!). All three, and the Culloden will be having the Special Giro Pink afternoon tea. If you want a really special treat, it’s time to book before it’s too late!

A few extra notes:
We hope they keep the pink ties… They looked superb and complement the Culloden beautifully!
We love their new golf cart, next time we want a whizz around the estate!
Oh and we got the train there. Wow, the Cultra stop couldn’t get any closer! So handy!
The pink duck was an extra treat just for us, but if you stay in a Hastings hotel this week, you’ll be getting one.
