G Spots! Hot SS15 Fashion Buys At Fairhill

Despite my mother telling me ‘Don’t cast a clout ‘till May is out’, I am feeling very spring like. The sun is shining, I’m showing more self-tanned limbs and the spring clean of the vast array of last season’s clothes is well underway. If you are anything like me, once you make a deposit to the charity shop, you naturally need to replenish the big hole that is left in your life and more importantly your wardrobe!

As budgets are limited, the savvy shopper must choose the right pieces to replenish it – thankfully help is on hand from Ballymena’s leading retail outlet, Fairhill as it is hosting a free SS15 fashion inspired event this Saturday 18 April from 2- 4pm, guaranteed to give ideas for all ages and budgets.

The event will see Alison Campbell models, including the former Miss Northern Ireland, Meagan Green (pictured) showcase the looks and in preparation for this event, Fairhill’s stylistas have given me sneak peek of key trends from a range of its retailers, including pieces from Debenhams, Miss Selfridge, M&S, Dorothy Perkins and Oasis; available in-store now.

Kimono Style: Designers have created chic and delicate cuts in the form of the kimono style jacket which look great in block colours or decorated with ornate colours and patterns. The good news is that it can be worn in various styles to give different looks – either matched with a girly dress, worn with tailored suit trousers or even given an urban edge with oversized jeans and trainers.

Fringe Benefits: SS15 will be a second summer of love with Woodstock to Western inspired pieces such as fringed jackets, dresses and shirts all making an appearance. The secret to this look is movement, so if you want to get the best out of anything fringed make sure to shake what your momma gave you!

Grownup Denim: Anything goes with denim this season, as dark-wash, low-slung& high-waisted are all on trend. Remember that denim is not just for jeans, so for every mood and every outfit, there will be a shirt, jacket, or dress to suit.

Suede Parade: You name it; you can buy it in suede. For the daring, there are suede dresses and play suits. For those looking for more wearable attire, there’s the suede skirt or the suede crop jacket. Keep an eye out for pastel pinks, lilacs, camel & khaki which are key colours.

Bohemian Chic: SS15 boho is feeling romantic and carefree with styles taking form in elegant, ethereal eveningwear. Soft and flowing silhouettes, beautiful prints and patterns, lace and small details come to the fore and add instant charm to any outfit.
