Some might see Valentine’s Day as a Hallmark holiday and just the chance for retailers to flog more stuff, but to be honest I have no problem with that idea especially if they trying to sell us cute and pretty things.
So I got the perfect opportunity to buy cute stuff at the official launch of underwear, swimwear and nightwear retailer, Boux Avenue in Victoria Square. Beady-eyed G Spotters! will know I did give it a mention back in October, but this week this beautifully girly boutique had all its top buyers like the experienced Debbie (below), the whizzy merchandisers and of course founder, Theo Paphitis in Belfast to give shoppers the chance to learn more about its range – just in time for Valentine’s Day!
With 20 stores nationwide this London brand brings a range of other traditional service, superior fit and outstanding quality to a modern and luxurious setting. It has everything from bras, pants, fleecy jammies, slippers, eye masks, bridal stuff and perfect gift ideas. It did make me laugh chatting to the girls about the choice of gift the men buy the ladies in their lives, until they come back the next day and change it for something they really want!
Shoppers can enjoy free bra fitting and take advantage of the handy intercom to chat with the experts in the comfort of their own cubicle. Available bra sizes are 28-38 A-G and clothing sizes range from 6-18.
Looks like a perfect treat for or from your boyfriend and definitely the perfect place to put some ooh la la in your bedtime wardrobe.
Bras apart, they also do a cute range of swimwear, which fit to perfection as well as coming in colour pops, flirty floral and a bit of bling in between. Mightn’t be the best idea for Valentine’s Day, but it will give you the perfect excuse to pop back again before summer and pick up something to look hot to trot on the beach.
Oh and I know what I said about Hallmark cards, that does’t apply to local retailers, like our very own BT editor, Jeff who makes his own fab and very Belfast-esq card designs. You can pick up some of his lovely cards here and hope they have the desired effect, as we would love to hear about the first BT baby! Keep us posted. Mwah! x
