I love a bargain, especially when it comes to skincare, and the rate I get through products means I need as much help as possible to keep the bills down. Although I don’t really have loyalty to any one particular brand, I do like REN skincare products and the more affordable La Roche Posay.
As the amount of free time I have is getting less, I’m sure I’m not the only one that spends more time shopping online. From clothes to groceries and even now beauty products, I find that one click shopping is getting far too easy.
So it was music to my ears when a friend introduced me to a local website that sells skincare, make-up and fragrance products from many of the main brands, is cheaper than buying in many high street chemists and can also deliver them right to my door.
Life&Looks.com is an online company based in Dundonald and was started in 2007 by the family behind the McKay pharmacy group. It stocks about 3,000 brands including Clarins, Marc Jacobs, GHD, Vita Liberata, La Roche Posay and specialises in French pharmaceutical skincare brands including Vichy, Bioderma and Neostrata. It also offers free shipping if you spend over £25 and next day delivery to Ireland.
I thought that the only way to check if it lived up to the hype was to order a few bits and bobs for myself. As the sun is shining, I decided on some fresh summer fragrance from Marc Jacobs and La Roche Posay skincare to protect my hands and face.
- Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh 75ml
- La Roche Posay Cicaplast Hands 50ml
- La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense 50ml
Ordering was quick and my package arrived the next day- all in all it was hassle free. I wanted to satisfy myself that I did actually save some money, so did a quick price comparison with another high street chemist, Gordons.
So….the three products bought at www.lifeandlooks.com cost me £64.50 and in Gordons it would have cost me £79 –so that’s a saving of £14.50. Not bad for a bit of quick shopping around and just enough for a few cocktails to undo all my new beauty work!
