The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast recently hosted the “New Year, New You” event, a motivational evening to encourage healthy lifestyles for 2014 and of course Style Watch was there in attendance checking out the all the stylish attendees!
It may be Spring Summer fashion wise, but we’re still feeing the winter chill so guests opted for more transitional looks to keep out the sub zero temperatures!
Nuala Meenehan rocked the trend for masculine tailoring, while adding interest to her ensemble with a mix of textures of leather detailing and wool, paired with a striking wing print t-shirt!
Local adventurer Hannah Shields also had fun with textures, mixing a cool leather top with funky tweed, creating a contemporary feel to her outfit and finishing the look off with a fabulous statement collar necklace encrusted with pearls!!
While Katie Robinson opted for a classic LBD and stylish patterned tights, accessorised with a covetable statement watch and delicate pearl charm bracelet!
This season is all about metallics and one of the easiest ways to inject the trend into your wardrobe is with a metallic jacket! I was seriously loving Suzanne Savage’s gold brocade jacket, which she perfectly accessorised with striking gold jewellery! The perfect way to take an all black ensemble and update it for this season!
Eve Brannon kept it simple, with a cute animal print top and perfectly tailored trousers, I loved the exposed zip detailing on the pockets and of course no stylish outfit is complete without a pair of skyscraper heels!
I’m a girl who loves her tailored dresses as it’s a look that can be styled in a variety of ways, for a multitude of occasions! Siobhan O’Sullivan looked gorgeous in classically tailored cream dress and I loved the injection of colour from her rust blazer!
Not to be left out, the men in attendance gave us girls a good run for our money in the style stakes and I loved Cool FM Presenter Pete Snodden’s outfit! Perfectly walking the balance between a smart, but laid back look, I loved his herringbone jacket and pops of tan from his belt and THE must have shoe style for men this season, the brogue!!
A hugely enjoyable evening, which included motivational talks from Brian Magee, boxing champion and founder of Magee Health & Fitness, inspirational story-telling by local adventurer Hannah Shields, and yummy recipes and nutritional tips from Paula Heaney, director of Skinny Malinky’s Real Juices! It was lovely to catch up with friends at the event as well as picking up lots of tips for healthier living and to see what everyone was wearing of course!
