It was Thursday night and right on schedule to coincide with the start of the Autumnal weather this week, it was the start of West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK, showcasing the latest Autumn Winter looks.
The 4 days of fashion got off to a truly glamorous start with an intimate fashion show by award winning designer, Una Rodden in the Meter House at the Gasworks, Belfast.
Una’s event was enchanting as five stunning models posed on plinths beautifully showcasing the latest couture collection from Una. It really was quite the beautiful and almost groundbreaking event for Belfast, and definitely something we’d love to see more of.
Next we headed up to the Ulster Museum for the first of 3 nights with exclusive backstage access as models, stylists, makeup artists and hairdressers prepared to wow us all with the 16th season of FASHIONWEEK.
Night 1 was Boutique night, where independently owned stores showcased the very latest trends from their autumn/winter collections including Liberty Blue, Jourdan, Blush, Cruise, Diamond Dolls and Rio|Brazil’s new online boutique Mr & Mrs Stitch.
Backstage was mostly calm and very organised with a great team of professionals making sure the hair, makeup and fashion was perfect.
The fabulous CMPR team as always were on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly and by the time the FROW bloggers, media and fashionistas welcomed the fashion onto the black themed night, everything was perfect!
Make sure you check in with us tonight on twitter, instagram and facebook as we report live from High Street night. And if you want to know more about the sequence of events during my backstage experience, watch this space as we’ll tell all on our Saturday morning update.
