There will be free face painting for all children – and adults too – and stilt walkers from the Belfast Circus School will be mingling with customers throughout both days.
There also will be a prize draw for a bumper hamper, containing donated by the Market traders. Entry to the draw will be free with every purchase made from any stall over the course of the weekend.
The fun day has been organised by the traders as part of their ongoing support for the Backin’ Belfast campaign.
As part of this campaign the Belfast Times stall will be running a competition on Sunday to win a Little Blue Fish plushie as seen here and a cute little blue fish keyring, both handmade in NI. All you need to do is make a purchase from the stall and you’ll be in with a winning chance!
St George’s Market opens from 9am – 3pm on Saturday and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.
Meanwhile, visitors to Smithfield Market will be able to enjoy getting close to nature, with a petting zoo open from 11am – 4pm on both Friday and Saturday. There also will be free face painting and ‘crazy characters’ on Saturday afternoon.
