Duke Special – December solo tour

20121026-081230.jpgYou may remember we recently caught up with Duke Special for a quick chat (here) before his festival at The Mac? Well, he’s back, but this time with a solo tour packed with new tracks and classic treats

Following the release of his latest album Oh Pioneer and a sold out Irish tour earlier in the year, Lisburn-born, Belfast-resident Duke Special headed off to support BellX1 on their US dates. He has now announced an extended series of live grassroots solo shows in Ireland. On this tour the pioneering performer, writer and entertainer will showcase a selection of hits, rarities and sing-along tunes in his own inimitable style, as well as songs from the new record. The December tour will stop off in a number of Irish locations, but we’ve listed the 2 local dates below.

From recording songs for Sesame Street to performing his music with concert orchestras, curating a festival in The Mac and taking on audiences at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as his myriad of unlogged worldwide adventures, it is clear that Duke Special is a true multi disciplinary artist, merging music, art, literature, film and theatre to entertain audiences across the world.
