Little monsters and larger ones too, can have a ‘frightfully’ good time and this Halloween by enrolling in a holiday scheme at their local Belfast City Council leisure centre.
The schemes will operate from Monday 28 October to Friday 1 November at six leisure centres – Andersonstown; Avoniel; Ballysillan; Olympia, Shankill and Loughside Recreation Centre.
As well as activities such as soccer, dance, swimming, and trampoline each centre will be offering fancy dress, storytelling and seasonal arts and crafts to young people aged eight to 14 years old.
Councillor Gareth McKee, Chairman of the Parks and Leisure Committee, said: “Parents are always looking to entertain their children during holiday periods and our schemes are a readymade solution that, at £6 a day, is very reasonably priced.
“In addition, they encourage young people to get active physically and creatively, giving them a chance to use their imagination and develop new skills.”
Registration forms can be downloaded from their website or collected from your nearest participating leisure centre. Registration for all schemes opens on 14 October.
