Did you know Olivers now serve an amazing brunch?

Just up the road from the buzzing restaurant filled Ballyhackamore, is a little gem of a restaurant, Olivers.

Tucked in beside the big car dealer and with one of the fancy new Glider stops right outside, Olivers is one of the cool new kids in the area.

They have recently launched a new brunch menu and we were invited along to try it out and let you know what we thought.

Opening at 10am we were first in the door, but this is clearly a busy spot as it filled up quickly. That’s always a good sign.

Olivers has that loft vibe with red brick walls covered big pieces of art, exposed metal and simple furnishings. It fits my cool restaurant brief perfectly.

The 8 mains on the brunch menu include the thoroughly 21st century choice of crushed avocado, poached eggs, brioche French toast, pulled brisket, chorizo and that old classic, the Ulster Fry. Also available are the bowls, Porridge (with milk or oat milk) or Granola. And a selection of 3 sweet options.

It’s a simple but great menu with super quality food and good sized portions.

The menu doesn’t go out of its way to shout vegetarian, vegan or GF. But there’s no issue in swapping out ingredients and replacing them with something else from the menu; I opted for the Portobello Mushroom but rather than have halloumi I switched it for crushed avocado. And I opted for porridge with oat milk.

The team on Olivers were fantastic; very friendly and helpful and super cool! It really is a little gem and we will definitely be booking in for an evening meal some Saturday night.

Brunch at Olivers is served:

9-12 Tuesday-Saturday and

10-12 Sunday
