On Wednesday 21st May, I kicked off my Culloden 8 week Summer Special gym membership with a tour, the usual signing in process, an induction programme, and a cool little keyring fob which can be attached to the car keys. At least I’ll not lose that!
I went in hoping to start regaining my fitness mojo that despite a few years of being keen and having some fantastic training opportunities, it looks like it has taken the Culloden gym to get the fitness bug to return properly. Although, it is only week one! Time will tell!
Paul, one of their in house personal trainers took me under his wings for session one, and very kindly, didn’t totally break me. He saved that for the first session of week 2!
Week 1, I managed to squeeze in 3 visits to the gym with ease. Location wise it suits me perfectly, I either drive past it on the way home from my weekend days in St George’s Market, or my train on the way home from work stops at Cultra…it’s only a few minutes walk away. So I really don’t have an excuse not to go.
I love that you get all the complimentary towels you need, I love the free fruit from the Zest bar, I love the Espa products in the changing rooms and I love that it all feels very personal and friendly.
The view over the beautiful Culloden gardens is a real treat and better than looking at gym walls and mirrors. I’m hoping to get Paul or Christine to get me set up to do a workout outside. Nothing beats an outdoors workout!
After 3 sessions in week 1, I have had to get my initial programme updated a bit, and I’m down 2 lb, so everything is moving in the right direction.
Check out my last post for all the Summer Fitness package details.
And come back next week for another progress report .
Keep on getting #fitforsummer !
