Over 100 bar staff from pubs throughout Northern Ireland battled it out at The Heineken Star Serve Awards at The Odyssey Arena this week.
During the event The Hudson won the award for Best Customer Service Experience and The Errigle Inn won Heineken Star Serve Pub of the Year
Leza Nulty, Commercial Manager for Heineken NI, commented: “We are delighted The Hudson and The Errigle Inn won these awards. The Heineken Star Serve Awards have been established to support bars who take pride in the ‘perfect pour’ and our event in The Odyssey truly underlined the quality of bars and barstaff we have here in Northern Ireland. The Hospitality Sector here is something we should be very proud of.”
Seamus Fischer from The Railway Arms was crowned Northern Ireland’s Star Serve Champion after beating off competition from some of the most talented bar staff in the industry. Over 2,500 bar staff and trade supporters attended four regional Heineken Star Serve Award ceremonies in Belfast, Cork, Limerick and Dublin and now four finalists remain in contention to represent the island of Ireland. The Irish National Star Serve Champion will go on to represent both the island of Ireland and their pub to compete for the ultimate global title in Amsterdam.
Good luck in Dublin then Amsterdam folks!!!
