Does the smell of fresh ground coffee beans get your senses percolating?
Or how about the buzz you get from a moreish Macchiato, expertly extracted espresso or textured Cappuccino?
If this is to your taste, then Canteen at the MAC has just the blend for you with their up-and-coming Canteen Coffee Week, kicking off on Monday 26th May.
Throughout the week, the award-winning coffee house will offer unique daily coffee food and drink specialities, from delicious desserts to liqueur coffees, as well as host two unique master classes, hosted in the Canteen’s own dedicated Brew Bar.
The master classes will be held on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th May where guests will enjoy live interactive demonstrations and tastings using Chemex and Aeropress techniques, which create a unique, distinctive depth of flavour, allowing every last ounce of goodness to be squeezed from the grinds.
The events will be hosted by local coffee expert Sharon Magowan who will share her expertise of the coffee journey from bean to cup, the unique characteristics of each single origin bean, and the careful harvesting process involved in each variety.
“The biggest challenge in today’s crowded marketplace is identification of where coffee comes from and the single best way to judge is not by listening to marketing but by tasting the difference in the cup” highlights Sharon Magowan Training Manager with The Espresso Logic Consultancy. “ I will be demonstrating the key factors to look out for and measure when making your own or buying in your selected coffee bar a great cup of coffee”
Tickets are priced at £10 per person, and include a range of delicious coffee treats and bespoke coffee matched to your personal taste.
