Cocktails and canapés and creatives Oh My!

On Thursday 13th October, SYNERGY STUDIOS opened its seafront doors to welcome new and exciting collections from over 60 talented makers, featuring fashion, art, jewellery, homeware and crafts. All made right here in Northern Ireland.

Showcasing the concept store’s variety of artistic design in an intimate display, bringing the Synergy vibe to life on the night, as models walked, posed and performed in a live installation taking the form of an in-house photoshoot with fashionable guests witnessing a demonstration of fashion photography first hand.

The evening was styled by Fashion Stylist and Designer Lewis Cameron, the founder and director of Beyond Man, who launched new clothing on the night with the punk inspired looks captured by live illustrations from local knitwear creator Sean Henry. The purpose? To show the innovative and involved nature of Synergy’s design philosophy in a space striving to explore and develop the creative nature of all its inhabitants.

Guests were also treated to a selection of canapés as well as gin and vodka infused sea bloom cocktails to set the mood as they shopped, snapped and synergised.

Synergy owner and founder Nick Mack commented on the success of the event, ‘Our Shop Synergy event brought lots of creative energy buzzing throughout the
studio, linking with other local creative businesses encouraging young makers and connecting the local community with design all at the same time. Showing all in attendance the benefits of shopping in a fantastic natural and stress free environment. As a result, we have a growing programme of fresh art and design showcase exhibitions planned for the next few months to inspire and encourage and I’m looking forward to more creative collaborations next year.’

Stylist Lewis Cameron said, ‘For me personally, I find Synergy to be a really unique place with impressive views in a tranquil and inspiring location. It has been a pleasure to style and have my clothing stocked in this unique concept store. There are very little shops nearby that offer a range of exclusive or individualised styles of clothing, arts and crafts, and for Synergy to bring that opportunity to Newcastle’s Central Promenade, showcasing local talent from across Northern Ireland, really is a brilliant project and something I feel is very special to be a part of.’

Synergy is a sensory experience; Visit, see, feel and enjoy.
