Bubba is coming!

American BBQ joint, Bubbacue, is coming! It’s due to open its doors on 22nd November for three months only, bringing us the taste of slow-cooking from the deep South. Tucked away on Callender Street, behind M&S, this city centre pop-up eatery will have a laid back, rough and ready feel where emphasis is placed on the long, slow smoking of pork, ribs, brisket and wings coupled with hearty American sides and desserts.

The classic American BBQ uses smoke to flavour and tenderize meat, cooking it at a low temperature over a long period of time. Bubbacue will be embracing the art of this relaxed American tradition, with the chef hand smoking brisket and pork for over 15 hours to achieve mouth-wateringly tender results. Sides such as slaw, mac and cheese, fries and homemade potato chips have all been developed to be the ultimate in comfort food for us hungry Christmas shoppers.

It’s only open for 3 months, so you’ll need to fit it into your Christmas and New Year eating and entertaining, but we think it’ll be worth it. We’ll be there testing it out on Friday lunchtime, tweeting all the way! So keep an eye out for our Bubbalicious tweets.

Forget about eating the same Ostrich burgers you’ve been eating for years now at the Continental Market and head across the road and try out Bubbacue!

Bubbacue’s launch party will be held on 21st November from 5.30-8pm. Customers are invited to come down, have a free drink and indulge in a selection of sample size menu items, while looking around the newly renovated premises.
