#BTtravels : Symphony of the Senses #ad

If you follow Belfast Times or Totally Tourists on instagram you might have spotted I went on a trip to London last Thursday night.

On Friday, Royal Caribbean International launched the first ever interactive, theatrical cruise experience on dry land, bringing an exclusive preview of what will be the world’s newest and largest cruise ship to central London.

The interactive and theatrical experience was open to the public for two days and was called Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Senses. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun at a launch event as it gave us all a taste of a holiday that’s unlike any other. Having cruised 18 times already, 3 with Royal Caribbean, this event definitely got me excited to book a holiday on the new Symphony of the Seas.

Showcasing the new cruise ship ahead of her launch in March 2018, the experience brought together the award-winning and acclaimed features only found on a Royal Caribbean holiday.

Symphony of the Senses was a treat for all the senses, utilising sight, sound, feel, taste and scent to bring the wonders of Royal Caribbean’s newest and most extraordinary ship to life through cutting-edge innovation, West-End quality inspired entertainment and magical, awe-inspiring activities.

We started with a representation of the tallest slide at sea, The Ultimate Abyss, before actually sliding into an Ultimate Family Suite. The family suite on the ship features a slide, so the kids wake up in the morning and slide downstairs to kick off the day! How awesome is that!

We got to act out our theatre stage performance dreams as we rehearsed for our big moment on stage with Hairspray. I did try to convince Royal Caribbean to let me do that for real when I get to see the show on the Symphony of the Seas, but going by what I’ve witnessed with their theatre productions, they are way to professional for my dreadful singing voice, but I could do the dance routines for sure.

Later we entered Sugar Beach the Symphony of the Seas sweetie shop; it’s every big and little kids dream. And visited Mexico for a taster of their El Loco Fresh restaurant.

In typical Royal Caribbean style they pushed the boundaries of what a preview event should be. It was creative, fun and exciting, much like you experience on board one of their cruise holidays, with a focus on entertainment for the whole family.

Now it’s time to continue the excitement and get a holiday booked on what will be the worlds largest ship with all the excitement and fun they can possibly cram into this floating city of food, fun and fantasy!
