Hey folks, it’s me again with a gym update….
After a chat with Christine about trying out a Boxfit class, the next thing I know I’ve been roped into an on the spot boxing routine. I don’t know where the energy came from but 5 minutes later I was warming up then getting stuck into Jabs, uppercuts, hooks with the subtle but much needed encouragement from Christine.
Finishing off the boxing part, Christine thought she’d keep the workout going with some bench presses and butterflies, and another boxing circuit. And I was busted!
It’s been a few years since I’d done a boxfit class and my body felt it the next day…but only just a wee bit.
My summer gym membership is coming to an end very soon, and it’s been a lot of fun and educational. The workouts they have given me have inspired me to come home from work and get those kettle bells and weights I bought years ago out of the dusty corner in the garage and get working out in my back garden.
So far I’ve had a great summer of fitness with the Culloden Health Club Fit for Summer membership and with only a week or so left, I need to get that massage booked. Yes, what a way to end a training programme than with a massage in the Spa to relax those much worked out muscles.
