City break by the Lagan at AC Belfast

City break by the Lagan at AC Belfast

Beside the River Lagan you’ll find AC Hotel Belfast, an elegant contemporary hotel with amazing views overlooking Cave Hill and Belfast on the City Side, and over the Lagan and Titanic Quarter from the river side.

It’s close enough to walk into the City centre and is also the start of the Maritime Mile walking route which takes you over the river to Titanic Belfast and up to HMS Caroline.

The restaurant in the hotel, Novelli City Quays, is as you’d expect with the Novelli name on board, superb. This month (January) they have a newly launched vegan menu for Veganuary , it’s perfect if you’re vegan, vegan friendly, vegan curious, reducing dairy or meat or just want great tasting creative vegan options. The vegan burger is pretty special!

The 8 floor waterfront hotel has a 21st century light and airy contemporary vibe with muted colours, wooden floors and clean lines. The rooms are big with fantastic views over the city and with very comfortable beds. Everything is just right!

Breakfast was as you’d expect, the standard Ulster fry options, you can’t beat a morning fry up, especially when the ingredients are as good quality as they have at AC Belfast. More plant based options are being explored as we speak, maybe we’ll go back soon to try that out.

AC Belfast and Novelli City Quay is a superb combination of great food and a comfortable place to stay. What’s not to love!
