Pull up a seat for the tastiest theatre in town

Pull up a seat for one of the tastiest highlights in BelFeast – the Food Theatre in the MAC where local chefs working with fine food producers will be creating a tasty spectacle of culinary delights.

Get in on the action – tickets cost £10 for each three-hour session, and there are four different sessions to choose from, two on Saturday 24 March and two on Sunday 25 March.

BBC presenter, Kim Lenaghan, is hosting the event and will be teasing secrets from among others, Danny Millar and Niall McKenna.

Danny has appeared, in the past, on both the Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen, while Niall revolutionised the restaurant scene when he opened his own restaurant after spending 12 years training under Michelin-starred chefs such as Gary Rhodes and Marco Pierre White.

Festival organiser, Kerry Rooney, said, “This is a great chance for everyone interested in food, from the home cooks looking for something extra to those interested in a career in food to pick up tips from the best.

“All the chefs and producers participating are passionate about their craft and dedicated to highlighting the outstanding quality food being produced and enjoyed in Northern Ireland.

“It will be fun and with Kim asking the questions it’s bound to be audience interactive as well. Sessions run each of the days from 11am-2pm and from 2pm-5pm in the afternoon,” he added.

BelFeast is centred in the city’s Cathedral Quarter and an entertainments programme, including live music performances, street artists, tours, workshops, and talks as well as an artisan street market and street food village is running alongside the food festival.

The three-day festival, running from 23-25 March, is funded by Belfast City Council and sponsored by Destination CQ BID with the support of Food NI.
