Last night the Ivory Restaurant in Victoria Square hosted Northern Ireland’s first Fashion’s Night Out, a global fashion event, which began in New York (of course!) in 2009.
The event, which is part of the Victoria Square Style September programme, was a free VIP treat for anyone who applied through the Victoria Square website.
Of course, I felt obliged to pop along, and meet up with my new fashion blogger chums Gemma Louise of Champagne Lifestyle Student Budget, Avril of School Gate Style and also the new blogger and Belfast’s own equivalent to Legally Blonde, Louise Vance of The Real Elle Woods.
I arrived just before the fashion show started and of course managed to sneak in a quick cosmo. Sitting close to the photographers, I decided to just get up and join them as the models worked the catwalk. And so the tweeting and photography began. It’s a bit manic tweeting and trying to take photos on my real camera at the same time…but hey, there’s a job to be done.
The event was hosted by Joanne Salley, and featured fashion from the Biba anniversary collection, and from 3 local designers.
It was another fashion fun night out in Belfast, and I think I’m becoming a fashion event regular and I love it. In a few weeks I’m hopefully going on a bit of a fashion road trip, so keep an eye out for more on that.
I’ve also been told that the Mantime Fashion event has been rescheduled until later in the year, but it’s getting bigger and better! Keep an eye out here for more exciting news on that.
In the meantime though, here are some of my photos from the first Belfast Fashion’s Night Out.
