Belfast Fashion Week – High Street Heaven

It was the final night of the big runway shows for Fashion Week, and the turn of the High Street to showcase their Spring Summer fashion. Retailers included Tempest, Exhibit, French Connection amongst others.
As always it was a people watching event as we sat in the second row watching, listening and being entertained. Event organiser Cathy Martin was busy clearing up the mess of people sitting in the front row, and not having front row tickets. She was clearly not happy! Then the mainly female audience took on a hen night mentality as the male models appeared. Every time a guy walked the runway, they received a welcome of whoops and cheers from the girls night out crowd. Have these women never seen a man before?
The show was short and sweet and perhaps not as inspirational as the Victoria Square fashion, most notably for guys. But retailers who did however stand out from the crowd were Tempest and French Connection. Tempest pulled it out of the bag with trends from Desigual, Mango and Mint Velvet.
I hope you enjoy the photos below and that the Belfast Fashion Week has inspired everyone who attended, because I definitely feel inspired, so I’m off to the shops now!
