This month saw me assaulting my sense of smell as I salivated at the aromas of tantalisingly fresh scents provided by some our favourite designers. This week, I look at the best of Michael Kors and DKNY.

First up was the newest limited-edition fragrance by Michael Kors, Coral Eau de Parfum (50ml £58), which is inspired by feminine sensuality and the sun-drenched colour of the tropics.

The perfume is housed in a bold signature bottle with a brilliant coral gloss finish and gold Michael Kors logo, automatically reflecting the glamourous fragrance inside.

Immediately I was wrapped in the floral, fruity fragrance which is infused with sparkling zest of lemon and the juicy flesh of grapefruit. Fruity tones continue to tease the senses, including mouth-watering mandarin and tingling green blackcurrant. The top note is given an unexpected edge with pink pepper while rosy spices leaves and unforgettable impression.

At the core of the fragrance lies an abundance of floral and spices which are quick to send your senses into overdrive. Raspberry, orange flower, tuberose and jasmine wonderfully combine to create a luxuriously delicate feminine scent.

The dry down features warm ambrox, cedarwood and sandalwood with musks lending the fragrance a velvety texture that, in turn, makes skin irresistibility inviting.

Next up, I tried Sexy Sunset (50ml £58), another limited edition fragrance by Michael Kors which is inspired by the radiant glow of a sunset.

Upon spraying this perfume, I was immediately cloaked in a burst of nashi pear and greeted with a lovely bouquet of floral notes of lotus flower, blackcurrant and freesia. This continues to the core of the fragrance where you will find an a gorgeously irresistible fusion of lush peony, gardenia rose bouton, magnolia and jasmine, grounded in a sensual blend of woods.

The bottle reflects the warm and seductive fragrance inside with its golden iridescent reflection and pink juice inside which mirrors the colourful ray’s which are typical of a striking sunset while the carton’s lush custom gradient evoked the bewitching moment just before twilight.

The collection features three fragrances, Loving Glow, Bright Crush and Citrus Pulse which are designed in the shape of the iconic Be Delicious apple and come in vibrant splashes of pink, green and orange.

DKNY Be Electric Loving Glow has a lip-smacking fruity introduction with a delectable explosion of fruit, including blackcurrant, grape and pineapple.

Apricot mingles with the perfect pair – jasmine and purple violet while vanilla, amberwood and musk leave a trail of excitement to finish off the scent.

Be Electric Bright Crush sees delectable dew fruit weave through bergamot and blackcurrant, while floral frangipani and peony envelope vivacious sweet plum for a gorgeous burst of sensuality. The electric mix of golden amber, vanilla and creamy woods create a vibrant femininity.

Be Electric Citrus Pulse leaves your mouth watering as it opens with a delicious fruity blend of nectarine, mandarin and passionfruit. The perfume has an abundance of floral tones with a breath-taking bouquet of jasmine, plumeria blossom and honeyed magnolia.
