It was Seashore Festival weekend in Bangor and many hopped on the steam train to come to ‘Bangor for a Bob’ and spend the afternoon in the seaside town.
Saturday was the wettest day in a long time but there was still plenty going on in the town including street performers, market stalls, a super air show and evening sailings on the two tall ships.
Luckily the torrential rain cleared about an hour before our ship was due to set sail and at 6.30 we boarded the Mercedes Tall Ship for our evening at sea.
A beautiful hour and a half sail along the North Down coastline followed as we headed out into Belfast Lough and round towards Groomsport and back almost to Carnalea before heading back into Bangor Marina.
Everywhere on board, the cameras were out as people captured their memories of a super and special evening.
I of course got the gopro camera out and took a few photos from some different angles with my camera on a stick.
It was an evening to remember!!
