Skin fades…love them or hate them, they were thee style for men’s fashion hair for 2015!
More and more barbershops across the country were seeing an increase of clients asking for variations in different types of fades, subsequently making barbers almost compete in who can deliver the sharpest fade.
With more men becoming conscious about their appearance and fashion, having your outfit on point just doesn’t cut it anymore if your hair and beard isn’t up to scratch!
With the new era of hipsters and dapper gents this look has had a big impact in men’s hair fashion with the new generation of barbers all perfecting their own techniques in giving the perfect fade.
From a barbers perspective the cut itself is a more advanced technique in cutting, with using either a cut throat blade or foil clippers to achieve that proper down to the skin fade as illustrated above in one of my own cuts.
Since the skin is so exposed I would always recommend using our Jason Shankey moisturising cream around the sides to avoid dead skins particles distracting away from your new do.
As for products I would recommend a style of pomade around the sides to give you that slick look and a more matte finish paste through the top for that natural easy going look.
Some things just never go out of fashion like a well aged whiskey, and this look has certainly been around for years and will be for many more with people interpreting it in their own modern way.
