The folks at Victoria Square have partnered with National Museums Northern Ireland to turn the city centre shopping destination into a museum experience for the month of August.
National Museums Northern Ireland will set up the city centre museum with highlights from their many collections. It’s an exciting way to highlight what the museums in NI have to offer. Regular Belfast Times readers might already know we love the Ulster Museum and the Folk and Transport museum. Actually we were in the Ulster Museum this week checking out the amazing Game of Thrones tapestry!

What to expect:
Victoria Square will be divided into themed zones including
- Old Belfast
- Street Games
- A mini ‘Docks in the Dome’.
A replica Ferguson flyer will hang from the ceiling of the shopping centre and a Crossley racing car and the Ulsterbus ‘wee bus’ will pay visits during the month.
There will also be a craft and skill workshop zone with around 60 free workshops throughout the month hosted by National Museums’ curators and specialist staff.
The Victoria Square Museum can be visited daily from 1st – 28th August. For more information please see victoriasquare.com
