6 1/2 things we love about Nando’s

In what looks like it’s destined to be a new feature after my ‘6 1/2 things we love about Fratelli’ last week, here’s the follow up, featuring a restaurant billed as the home of the legendary flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, Nando’s


Here are our 6 1/2 things we love about Nando’s:

There are THREE Nando’s in Belfast; Victoria Square, Dublin Road, and the recently opened one on Boucher Crescent. As if already having two to choose from isn’t enough, the new Boucher Crescent restaurant is a perfect addition to the Boucher area. 


They do takeaway!! I didn’t know that until I visited the Boucher restaurant. Just download the app and make your choice before heading to the restaurant to collect. 


It’s all about the Peri Peri isn’t it. How hot do you dare to go? EXTRA HOT is for the brave diners out there who want to feel like they are tackling a ferociously fiery dragon in a furnace! I’m more of a medium kind of person. 


Great portion sizes. If you’re hungry; go for the double chicken breast burger combination meal with fries and garlic bread. You’ll not feel hungry for the rest of the week!


It’s FRESH chicken and never frozen, and they keep it local, as all three Nando’s in Belfast use chickens which are hatched and reared in Ireland.

The restaurants always have a great buzz about them and the Portuguese theme with a touch of African gives a nod to the company’s roots. There’s always a contemporary look mixed with traditional, and the new Boucher road restaurant is no different. Quirky, fun and tasty!

Lastly – Credit where credit is due, the team in the Boucher Road branch were totally AWESOME when we visited! An exceptionally well trained, polite and happy team 👍🏻

Check it out the new Nando’s at Boucher Square, Boucher Crescent, Belfast. It’s in the middle of the big building shaped like a banana. There’s plenty of free parking and you won’t miss the big Nando’s sign.
