6 1/2 things we love about lunch in Parliament Buildings

We were recently invited along to Stormont Estate to enjoy lunch in the house on the hill. Lunch or Afternoon Tea in Parliament Buildings seems to be a closely guarded secret that many don’t know about, but should.

What were the 6 1/2 things we love about dining in this iconic venue:

Top of our list is that view! Served in The Members’ Dining Room, you will enjoy stunning views down the famous mile and out over the surrounding Belfast hills and city. Ask if you can go out onto the balcony to take it all in.

They serve lunch Mon-Fri from 12-2.30pm and Afternoon Tea Mon-Fri 2-4pm. Lunch is good but the room and building lends itself perfectly to a decadent afternoon tea. You’ll feel like an important VIP sipping tea in this beautiful dining room.

Lunch can be bought as separate courses, but choose their combo price of any starter, main course and dessert for £17.75. And look at it, it’s amazing looking!

Afternoon Tea costs £15 per person and the Children’s Afternoon Tea costs £6. We love that there’s a kids afternoon tea with Strawberry milkshake and Chocolate Brownie pop cake!

The team were wonderful! Perfectly presented, polite and professional, with a touch of local humour thrown in. It’s what makes us special here in NI, our wee Norn Iron ways.

Although we didn’t get to try the afternoon tea, it was a lunch treat for us, you just know it’s going to be special. Our lunch was presented silver service style in a big reveal moment; it tasted good and looked beautiful.

And I haven’t mentioned they are an award winning restaurant with Taste NI awards and a highly commended award from the UK’s Hudson Heritage Awards.

Get yourself booked in to enjoy a lunch with a view in an absolutely iconic building! During the summer months they have high occupancy and a lot of regulars (which is a good sign) so you are advised to book in advance. For reservations please call: 02890 521 041.
